Life
I used to read other people's blogs and wonder why they stopped writing. There is something about having 2 young children and not finding a lot of time, well more of a desire to keep up with things like this.
I would like to keep it up, so before the summer starts I will write what has been going on over the last year.

Time
Time
We all want it, but we all can't wait for it, and then its there and gone and we miss it.
I have felt lately that I don't have enough time and the time I had, I question if I spent it well.
Back in April we moved out to King George, VA. Its about 40 minutes southeast of where we were. David now has to commute for about an hour, but I think other than that it has been a great move.
The Church we attend is opening a satellite campus and David and I have decided to go to that one. It is much smaller and we are able to volunteer and get to know people on a more personal level. I have been asked to teach 4th/5th grade girls. I think it will be just what I need. Last week was my first class. Pretty chaotic, but I enjoyed it. Gives me a purpose and I hope that I can get to know some kids and help them in anyway.
A past coworker of mine died last weekend. I am going to her funeral today. She wasn't very old. I know that she is in Heaven, but it is still sad and it makes me think that this might be happening more in the next 10 years and I am not sure I am ready for it. Its just tough.
Hunter starts school on Monday. I think it is hard to let your first born go off to school, but I think the transition is harder for parents who keep their children at home until then. Hunter did go to preschool, but there is a big different to go 4 hours a day for 3 days to 8 hours a day for 5 days. He also wants to ride the bus. I have always told myself that I would never not let him do something because of my fears.
I know academically he is more than ready. He is a smart kid. I hope he keeps that in his school life. I don't want him to struggle like I did. Common sense wise....well that is another story. I also worry that I did not teach him the Christian values he will need as a 5 year old. I know....sounds a little crazy, but that is my purpose right now- to raise my children to love God. I am not sure I do that enough.
My parents are coming back to the States in a couple weeks. You know are family is different. We love each other very much, but we probably don't communicate face to face much. My mom and I are very close and I adore my brothers, but since they are in a different country as well, we don't communicate much (2 are 12 hour difference, one is 6/7 hour difference). I do realize though that I rely on my parents a lot. I rely on my mom as my friend, counselor, parental advice, spiritual adviser, the list could go on. I rely on my dad to help me with big projects (building things) and day to day advice, and he is my adventure buddy. If something were to happen to these 2 people- it would more than change my life. I am a very independent person, but that is because I have a strong family. I have 2 very confident parents who love me so much. I think when I have someone I know die, it reminds me that they will not be around forever and thats scary to me.
Time- may we cherish the time we have, understand that we have a lot of time with some and not very much with others, but no matter how small or big the relationship is, the time spent with them will impact your life. Lets just hope we all use it wisely.

Catch up....
Wow! Sometimes time just flies by and you feel you cannot catch up enough. Back in January we started the process of selling our current house and buying another. It was an unusual adventure.
We put our house up for sale the end of February. For an entire month we did not have one single person looking. We had nothing. We had been looking at homes all over the area. We found some we liked, but none we loved. We eventually stopped looking because we would not have been able to put an offer on a house until we sold ours. Exactly one month later we had a showing and that lady ended up buying our house. It was so quick that we had to find a house in a week. We knew we could have rented or figured something out, but I was so tired of looking (we looked at around 30+ houses all within an hour from David's work). We originally wanted 3 to 5 acres of land, but we were finding that we need a couple hundred thousand more or a fixer upper. We couldn't afford either. We ended up buying in a nice neighborhood, but out in the country a bit. We have been here almost 3 weeks now and love it.
The commute has been difficult. We are trying to finish up preschools and other errands in our current city (about 45 minutes away), so we are still traveling back and forth. Other than that we love our house and the people are so friendly. It is a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath house with an unfinished basement.
We managed to try to put Hunter in soccer to see if he would like it. If I had to guess- answer would be no.
Danica had a birthday last month. We ended up just having some family friends over to say Happy Birthday.
Here are some pictures of some things we have done lately:
