No matter where I live, when it hits June- it's summer time. Here in Virginia the schools don't get out until mid June (which to me is just weird). There is just something about the weather and June/July/August have always been considered summer to me, which should mean no school.
Here are a couple pictures from our yard- beautiful time of year
We have been busy this past month. We are not the type of family that likes to do something every weekend and we have had something to do EVERY weekend since the end of April and it doesn't stop. Next weekend will be our first weekend to not have anything planned.
Our family is getting ready to head out to Texas and Colorado for a while. Although my kids do not travel well- I do and I am looking forward to a change of scenery for a while.
Hunter finished preschool at the end of May. He will continue to do 2x a week starting in the fall. He really enjoyed
Mt. Ararat Preschool and I was very impressed with their program. Hunter is full of energy and never stops talking. He is in the "why" stage now and he loves to be read to. We go to the library every week and get 8 or 9 new books (mainly because my ADD gets tired of reading the same book 8x a day 7 days a week) and he loves the new books. I end up picking out the books and it is always fun to try to figure out which ones he will like. I always get atleast 2 books that he ends up liking and we read and read and read. He is really turning into his father. He also got a new bike and like anything else with Hunter- You never know what to expect. He likes the concept of the bike, but we have not actually mastered bike riding yet. The other day he fell and decided he didn't like the bike anymore and wanted to take another kids bike- he didn't understand that he couldn't.
He is also picking up singing- now that he can remember some of the lyrics he loves to sing Twinkle Twinkle and dance to "Hanky (Yankee) Doodle".

Danica's personality is really starting to come out. She is a very busy girl. You can sit in the living room with her and she will play by herself for an hour, but the entire house will look like a tornado hit it. She loves to pull things out and kind of put them back. She LOVES to eat, take baths with her brother, climb the stairs, and put EVERYTHING into her mouth. We have had toilet paper, mulch, dirt, carrots, dried worms, toilet water, fuzz, grass you name it-its been in her mouth. She is right on the verge of walking, but still enjoys her fast crawling (and she is fast).
