Summer Fun

Things are starting to wind down in the Simpson household. This is the first time in a long time I do not have the next adventure planned for the kids and I. We also have no plans for family to come visit- which is a first as well. For those of you who know me, it makes me feel a little lost, but not to worry I will come up with something soon. I can't just sit around all the time!

The kids and I got back from Texas/Colorado the middle of July. We spent a little less than a week in Texas and 3 weeks in Colorado.

Texas visit:

We flew to Texas and got to see 2 of my college friends. It was so nice to see them again, but it was obvious that we are all in that stage of motherhood where we don't have too much to say because we are just tired. It was so interesting to see the difference that 5 years made.

We also got to spend an afternoon with David's mom in Dallas. We met up with her to eat lunch and then Hunter got to play in the fountains. It was fun to get to see her and meet her friend Mary and her son (Hunter had a blast playing with him).

The next day we drove from Dallas to Brownsfield and spent a few days there. David's dad lives there and then his sister came to see us to. It was David's 20th High School reunion, so he got to see some friends from the past and had a great time.

Unluckily Danica got sick before we left and we later found out, she spread it to almost everyone we got in contact with (even my family in Colorado got sick). We kept telling everyone it was our gift to them to help remember us.
Hunter had a great time feeding the chickens and checking on the cows everyday with Papa. It was nice to spend time with them.

After a few days, David drove back to Dallas to go home and we drove on to Colorado. It actually was not a bad drive.

Colorado:

It was so much fun being with family and spending time in a beautiful state. The kids and I spent 3 weeks out at my parents cabin. My older brother and his family were there as well. Adam (my younger brother) and his family came out for one week too. Hopefully photos will show all that we did.

Back Home:

The kids and I have just been catching up on pool and playground time. Hunter is in a Preschool Adventure Camp this week. He will be starting preschool next month again. Not much else is going on.
